Mango Margarita Recipe: Easy Way to Mix at Home

After a sunny day, few drinks rival a homemade mango margarita that’s fresh and bright. I first tasted this in Cancún, where ripe mango and zesty lime tasted like vacation in a glass. Making it at home is easy. Ripe mangoes and fresh lime juice always create a smooth result.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango peeled and cubed
  • 60 ml of Tequila silver or reposado
  • 30 ml triple sec or Cointreau
  • 30 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey adjust to taste.
  • Ice cubes
  • Coarse salt or Tajín for rimming the glass

Method

  1. Run a lime wedge around each glass rim, then dip it in salt. For a pro look, check classic margarita rim styles.
  2. Add mango chunks, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, honey, and ice cubes to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy. It should pour easily but still stay thick.
  4. Taste and adjust: add more honey for sweetness or more lime for sharpness.
  5. Pour into your salt-rimmed glasses and garnish with a lime slice or mango cube.
  6. Serve cold and enjoy that perfect mix of fruity mango and citrusy tequila flavor.

Notes

  • Use ripe mangoes for a naturally smooth and thick texture.
  • Chill your Tequila and triple secs beforehand for a refreshing result.
  • If you like a lighter texture, blend with crushed ice instead of cubes.
