Easy Tiramisu recipe you can make at home
What You Need:
- 200g ladyfinger cookies (they look like dry biscuits).
- 250g Mascarpone cheese (soft cheese).
- 3 egg yolks
- ⅓ cup of sugar
- ¾ cup cold heavy cream
- 1 cup brewed coffee (make it strong, let it cool).
- 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
- Cocoa powder (for topping)
How to Make Tiramisu Step by Step
Make the Cream
- Put egg yolks + sugar in a bowl.
- Place it over a pot of hot water (not inside). Whisk for 5–6 minutes until light and creamy. Let it cool.
- In a new bowl, whip together the cold cream until fluffy.
- Gently mix in the mascarpone.
- Now gently fold in the whipped cream. Put it in the fridge for 15–30 minutes.
Dip the Cookies
- Mix the coffee + liqueur (if using) in a dish.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee for 1–2 seconds only. Don’t let them soak for too long.
Layer Your Tiramisu Cake
- In a square or rectangular dish:
- Add a layer of dipped ladyfingers
- Spread half of the cream mix
- Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers
- Spread the rest of the cream
Chill and Finish
- Cover and chill in the fridge for 6 hours (overnight is best).
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
