Ingredients

Dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (or dairy-free)
  • 1 cup warm milk (or almond/oat milk).
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 eggs

Filling:

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup softened butter

Optional:

  • Cream cheese frosting
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Raisins or nuts

Instructions

1. Make the Dough:

  • Warm milk slightly and mix it with a little flour and sugar. Add yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Mix in the softened butter, eggs, and the rest of the flour to make a soft dough.
  • Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.

2. Let Dough Rise:

  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–2 hours until it doubles in size.

3. Make the Filling:

  • Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon into a smooth paste.

4. Shape the Rolls:

  • Roll the dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle.
  • Spread the filling evenly.
  • Roll tightly, then cut into 12 slices.
  • Place in a greased pan and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.

5. Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

6. Frost and Serve:

  • Spread cream cheese frosting over warm rolls if using. Serve and enjoy!
